Relative Clauses
Relative Clauses
Yesterday, I had micro-teaching in Methods of Teaching English course. The lesson was about relative clauses. I have got a good mark : )
I would like to share part of it with you. n_n
What is a relative clause?
A relative clause is a part of a sentence which tells us more about the subject of the sentence.
In a relative clause, use who for people and which/that for things.
There are some examples:
- An elephant is a very big animal that/which lives in Africa.
- Watches are things that/which tell us the time.
- A news reader is a person who reads the news on TV.
- A dentist is a person who looks after your teeth.
